Added a new presentation for my CLIW Project

Thanks to slideshare, uploading presentations on the web is just a pure pleasure. They really should give the damn thing more publicity.

I've just uploaded my presentation for my CLIW project entitled helpER. The actual extension is made for Google Chrome, since out of all browsers I covered in my analysis, Chrome seemed the easiest to work with.

Creating an extension in Firefox

I will not lie, I don't like the whole extension creation process in Firefox. I find it tedious, overly complicated and extremely boring. That being said, I've made a short video on how to create an extension in Firefox, so others can feel my pain :)

Creating an extension in Safari

Safari is, in my opinion, the best browser for people who are just starting to develop extensions. The built-in Extension Manager does an awesome job, and Apple's forced certificate usage is a great thing, since it assures security.

Creating an extension in Opera

Opera is my favorite browser! In this short video, you will see just how easy it is to create an extension in Opera. I've also added the files used in the video, you can download them from the link bellow.

Please note: for some reason, my video has problems with the sound in the first 20 seconds :( this happens only sometimes, so I'm guessing it's a minor glitch at vimeo, since on my computer it plays with no problems. Be patient please, I'm not saying anything terribly important in that part :)

Creating an extension in Google Chrome

This is the first of 4 videos showing how to create a basic extension in each browser. Videos were uploaded to vimeo.com, and were recorded using Camtasia Studio, trial version. I only have good words to say about Camtasia! It provides 30 days of full functionality, and it's extremely easy to use!!! I recommend to anyone that needs to do a quick screencast.
